There are over 400 different sneakbox designs. These boats have been used for bay work, hunting ducks mostly, since settlers first came to the Jersey Shore many hundreds of years ago. Subtle variations make some of them better then others at there job of sailing amongst the salt marshes, putting out decoys, and hiding from over flying ducks. Some have been modified for play rather work and became the backbone of many early sailing clubs.
