Sailing and Boats

"Sailing by the Bay Bridge" Big skies and big wind to sail with and glory in this special place.

"Late Day Sail" Sunday evening, the river is quite and lovely. It beats the Sunday night blues.

"Sunfish" Summer, and the river is full of fun and color.

"Ensign Spinnaker Run" Ensigns are great boats for racing and for just plain fun.

"A Cats on Barnegat Bay", the majestic boats that are sailed only here on Barnegat Bay in New Jersey. The earliest boats, from the 1920s, were designated Natural Historical Treasures. New ones have been built and the fleet now numbers 12. This painting was selected for the cover of the book " A Cats, a century of tradition".

"A Cats Rounding the Mark on Barnegat Bay" Eight of the majestic cat boats as they race on Saturdays during the summer. A wonderful sight to see.

"Sneakbox on Barnegat Bay" There are many varieties of the sneakbox catboat. This one has a gaff rig and is very like the duck hunting boats used on the bay. This one was resting off High Bar on LBI.
