Conservatory Lake, Central Park
Painting mainly in watercolor, she is inspired by her surroundings here at home on the Jersey shore and in her travels in the US and abroad. Educated in Fine Arts at Montclair State College with further studies at Ocean County College, and with many fine watercolorists, she continues working towards a body of work that communicates with people while fulfilling her very own personal viewpoint.
Longswamp Creek at Money Island
She has exhibited widely in the Northeast, especially in New York and Pennsylvania, and her paintings are in private and corporate collections throughout the US and in more than 30 foreign countries. She exhibited her work in the Rotunda of the House of Representatives Office Building in Washington, DC and at the State House in Trenton, NJ. She is listed in Who's Who in American Art. Her work is represented at several shore galleries, among them the Main St.Gallery in Manasquan, Thistledown Gallery in Spring Lake, Squan Gallery in Manasquan, Wildflowers Gallery in Barnegat Light as well as her own gallery in Toms River.
Boathouse in Winter
Her paintings cover a wide range of subjects including landscapes, seascapes, cityscenes, still lifes, and portraits. The Jersey Shore area is a big inspiration for her work as well as sites from the many travels she has taken. A series of paintings of classic Barnegat Bay cat-boats: A-Cats, B-Cats and sneakboxes have been very well received not only by local sailors and boat lovers, but also by attendees at her shows. Some have been used as magazine and book illustrations and covers, and as labels on wine bottles. Her accurate depiction of boats and nautical scenes comes from long experience and observation. She lives on the water, and sails and races the Pearson Ensign sailboat, "49er", recently participating in the National Championship Regatta.
